Episode 77: Brian Sachetta & Overcoming Anxiety

“In situations, our brains hone in on those negative potential outcomes… we often forget that something good can actually happen.”

On this week's episode of the Eat Green Make Green Podcast, I sit down with my old friend Brian Sachetta. Brian's claim to fame is that he was the original designer of the super successful dating app, Hint (for those that know my background, I'm obviously joking haha!). Hint was my first ever venture, and after working with Brian on it, we've stayed in contact and shared similar entrepreneurial and health journeys. What I didn't know about Brian is that he's battled anxiety over the years, something so many of us can relate to. In order to overcome it and skip the all too often prescribed drugs, he's developed a number of practical tactics that can be applied by anyone. Brian's life experience with anxiety, the latest research on anxiety, and steps to overcome it are all covered in his new book Get Out Of Your Head: A toolkit for living with and overcoming anxiety, which is now available on Amazon. This is an awesome conversation about a topic that we all should talk more openly about. We all experience anxiety of some kind and Brian's experiences and techniques most definitely will have a positive impact on many.
