"At the end of the day, I just want to see my family around for when I'm getting married and graduating college and having a family... I want my family and friends staying alive and healthy."

On this week's episode of the Eat Green Make Green Podcast I sit down with Hingham native and Hingham High senior Jenny Walrod. Jenny and I connected via some mutual friends and on Instagram recently, and being so young and embracing the vegan lifestyle, I was very curious to hear her story. We talk about Jenny's life growing up as a frequent world traveler and how that's impacted her personal views, how a skin issue when she was 15 led her to adopting a plant-based diet, how a plant-based diet has impacted her life, how she navigates the social pressures and situations that revolve around food, what she eats in a day, why she eats mostly raw, why she eats when she's hungry and not just because it's "lunch time," why she truly does crave fruit and vegetables, and why a plant-based diet is all about being healthy and staying alive for the ones you love. Jenny is awesome and I was very impressed with how she knows what her personal values are and she lives by them, despite the many pressures that come with being a high school student.
