"Right away I felt like I was living again, I was digesting for the first time, I wasn't bloated and in pain, I had energy... it just made sense."

"Right away I felt like I was living again, I was digesting for the first time, I wasn't bloated and in pain, I had energy... it just made sense."On this week's episode of the Eat Green Make Green I sit down with the (plant) power couple Luke + Emilie Tan. I'm back over in Singapore and was fired up to reconnect with the Tans. Luke is a previous podcast guest (check out Episode 9 for Luke's story) and is a fellow vegan entrepreneur and CrossFit competitor, while Emilie is an incredible ultra endurance runner. They do all this while raising their 11 month old daughter! We talk about Emilie's life growing up as a competitive speed skater and her pursuit to make the Canadian Olympic team, how she was always told to eat horse meat and follow a strict "high-protein" diet while training, how she ended up in Melbourne where she met Luke, how she continued training in an attempt to make the Australian national team but struggled with digestive issues and other health issues, how Emilie and Luke both found a plant-based diet and the health affects they've experienced, how Emilie now competes in ultra running races (100K races!), how they birthed and have raised their daughter vegan, and why a vegan lifestyle is all about being true to yourself. Emilie and Luke are such impressive and inspirational people and I'm lucky to call them friends.Show NotesLuke & Emilie's Site:  http://www.awakemethod.com/Emilie's Instagram:   https://www.instagram.com/emilieendurancerunner/Luke's Instagram:  https://www.instagram.com/livegreenlivelean/Durian Rider Youtube:  https://www.youtube.com/user/durianridersFreelee Youtube:  https://www.youtube.com/user/FreeleaFood Revolution Book:  https://www.amazon.com/Food-Revolution-Your-Diet-World/dp/1573244872Luke's Plant Fit Summit:  https://plantfitsummit.com/Thug Kitchen Book:  https://www.thugkitchen.com/Plant Power Way Book:  https://www.richroll.com/the-plantpower-way/Gluten Free Vegan Book:  https://www.amazon.com/Gluten-Free-Vegan-Delicious-Animal-Free-Recipes/dp/1600940323Game Changers Movie:  http://gamechangersmovie.com/
