Episode 137: Avi Jacob & The Power of Vulnerability

“When I’m on stage, something else comes over me. I have no fear. I don’t know why I’m not afraid of that.”

On this week’s episode of the Eat Green Make Green Podcast I sit down, once again, with the one and only Avi Jacob. Avi is a singer-songwriter who’s put out two new albums, Surrender and Preservation, since we last spoke.

We talk about Avi’s evolution as a singer-songwriter, why he shares his struggles and vulnerabilities in his songs, the fine line between being a business and being true to who you are as an artist, how despite his success he struggles just like everyone else, why he knows fame and money will not make him happy, how the pandemic has affected his music and health, some of the things he’s doing to help him stay well, why he struggles with letting people pay for his music especially during these times, and why love is at the center of all things.
